Dental Assisting will require 3 hours each week of hybrid learning. Students will need to complete their externship after class time has ended on 4/22/2021.

PHARDAYTGP - Pharmacy Technician Day - Lehi


MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Students are required to attend an orientation meeting. Please choose one day and time to attend.
Meeting times for Fall 2020 Semester:
Monday, July 13th: 9:00am, 11:30am or 6:00pm
Wednesday, July 15th: 9:00am, 11:30am or 6:00pm
Tuesday, July 21st: 9:00am, 11:30am or 6:00pm

Meeting times for Spring 2021 Semester:
Monday, November 30th- 2:45 PM and 5:30 PM
Wednesday, December 2nd- 2:45 PM and 5:30 PM
Tuesday, December 8th-2:45 PM and 5:30 PM

Utah law requires that a student working in a pharmacy as part of a pharmacy technician training program must first obtain a Pharmacy Technician Trainee License. The trainee license application and more information will be distributed to students at the mandatory orientation.

Illicit drug use, criminal background checks, and immunization status may prevent future employment as a pharmacy technician. Externship sites, employers, and State Boards of Pharmacy have regulations about drug use and criminal backgrounds.

Students must have a high school diploma or GED to sit for the National Exam and must be at least 18 years old to license with the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). Students must pass the national exam and submit the state application within two years of the first day of the program in order to obtain their license.

VERY IMPORTANT: High School seniors will be required to pay tuition beginning June 1, 2021 for the remaining hours necessary to complete the externship hours at $2.10 per hour.
